Christmas Tree is Done

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We did, I got to
enjoy my family and Allen got to spend time with all of his
Grandparents. It has been a busy weekend, Friday Pizza Party,
Saturday Turkey Dinner at My Grandma's and we also put up our Christmas
tree. And Yes I let my almost 2 year old son help to a
point. We ended up taking a break, to feed him lunch and then
putting him down for a nap, so I could finish getting the tree
decorated. Allen was a great help at putting the tree together
and with the lights, he just stumbled at the ornament phase because he
felt that they should be toys to play with. LOL He actually
is really loving the Tree and I am loving watching him discover what is
all there and he gets so excited when he finds stuff he knows like
POOH, DOGGIE, KITTIE and he does not like my ornament where Tigger
bounces Pooh and wants Mommy to fix it. We have not had any tree
problems yet. I am throwing caution to the wind and just hope
that Allen does not pull the tree over and hurt Himself. But I
guess it is a good thing our tree is not that big. Next Year I
hope to have a bigger Tree. This Tree was bought for our last
house where the living room was laid out different and a fat tree just
did not work.

Here is Allen Helping with the tree:

I took this picture with no flash to show the lights and that is why it

We also have hung lights outside but I have not taken any pictures of
that yet. I am just excited to be having Our first Christmas at
this house.

Honey Boy AIO Review

Now, hear is a personal favorite of mine. Honey Boy ALL In One's I find that these diapers are very cute and work really well on power/heavy wetters. Which my Son is. Also these are a fun diaper to sew and you can find the pattern for them at the SewShoppe I enjoyed making some of these diapers as well. Some would consider this a con to the diaeprs, but I do not, They can be bulky and need a longer dry time. However, to find an AIO that I can use on my Son that will last for at least 2 hours is a blessing and I recommend these AIO's to all.

I have trouble using AIO's on my Heavy wetter so I have failed with a lot of Brands. Honey Boy AIO's are my success Story. I love the Fleece it is so breathable and the Printed Flannel Interiors make it more like cute pair of underwear and I know my son loves wearing his Honey Boy AIO's epecially when I put the sports ball or Money print on him. So please check these diapers out. I Offer drop Shipping for these diapers from Stitch n Stuff and she does have such a cute selection.

So this is the new layout for my New Shopping Cart that I will be trying to get up and going in December I have a lot of work ahead of me. LOL. I hired Jen from Four Little Ducks to design my new site using my Monkey, that actually she created for me before. I like the boyish charm of the new look.

Monkey Toe Diapers is growing and needs a shopping cart that can handle its growing needs and that is why I moving my store to a different shopping cart. I am working on the move daily but with balancing sewing diapers, being Mom, as I am called by my Almost 2 year old, these day and everything else, it is going to take me some time. I looking forward to this venture.

Talk to you soon,

Heiny Huggers Review

This is my first Official Product review and I have chosen it to be about Heiny Huggers. I actually was very surprised on how well I loved this diaper. It is made of a very soft Sherpa, front snapping, with a sewn in hidden soaker pad. I love using this diaper at nap time. It fits very well and is very stretchy. Also this diaper is very affordable at an MSRP of $10.50. Granted it is a no frill kind of diaper but it works and I really believe it is a great diaper for the Value. The only down side I see to it is that it does take a little longer to dry then some diapers, however I have never seen this as a problem when you have no extra parts to deal with so I find it a very easy to use and affordable diaper. I would recommend this diaper as a buy.

Funky Monkey Custom Order

Well here is a wonderful set of diapers I just finished for a custom
order. These were made out of Hemp Fleece and the soakers were
topped with Micro Fleece. Because a Woven Print was choosen I
extended the wings to help with sizing since there is no stretch on
woven prints.

This is it

I know big deal another blog. But so what. I am going to
use this as tool to communicate information to my customer base about
products, Custom orders, Follys of mine in cloth diapering and fun in
cloth diapering of mine.

I am a Mom of 1 and I have been cloth diapering Allen(11/30/2004) since
he was about 2 months old and the only regret I have is not starting
from birth. I will tell you that cloth diapering is something you
can be proud of. I did not need to cloth diaper to save money we
did it because of the waste factor. My husband Mark really did
not want to use disposables for the waste reason.

So I started out looking for Cloth diapers and you really do not find
much in The Rochester Area. So I went to the Internet and started
my search. The First Diapers we started with are Kushies AIO's
and then Fuzzi Bunzs. But now that I am more educated and really
learned the my Heavy wetter is really not an AIO or Pocket boy I
use mostly Fitted with Wool or Fleece Covers Now. And life is
wonderful.

I like to sew and that lead me to making Very Baby diapers. And
then eventually to Purchasing Sugar Plum Baby so I could own my own
diaper label and have a pattern of my own to work with. I love
making Fitted Cloth Diapers. I am not a fan of making AIO's for 2
reasons 1 they do not work the best on my son and the second reason
they were the diapers I had the most trouble with complaints on.
So Sugar Plum Baby Is a great fit for me.

The biggest Lesson I have learned in my Cloth Diapering Follys is to
experiment and try 1 or 2 diapers before choosing the right brand for
you. If you are a person that can sew even better there are a lot
of great diaper sewing patterns out there and you can customize your
diaper needs to your baby. And sewing them does save you money.

I will be reviewing patterns I have used and products I have used in
future posts so stay tune and I will be passing on my limited knowledge
of what I know on cloth diapering. You will also find a lot of
posts that I will call brag posts to show my work so you can see a
portion of the custom work I do. So stay tuned and I hope this
will be fun for all involved.
