Look what is coming a Very Baby one size fitted diaper. It has 3 rise settings for small, medium and large. This picture is 1 of a sewn in soaker and lay in doubler. Here is how I make Very Baby Simply Nights.

The Body of the diaper is is 2 layers of Hemp(bamboo or organic cotton fleece) and 1 layer of micro fleece.

The soaker pad of this diaper is a tri-fold soaker. 2 layers of hemp or other fabrics and the center is topped with micro fleece. When folded you have 6 layers in the soaker for night time protection.

I prefer to make the tri-folds for 2 reasons:
1. It is easier for me to make
2. The most important is that they open up and dry quicker for you.

Very Baby Skull Set

Here is a size large Very Baby Snug Wrap and Matching Diaper Set that I will be listing for sale maybe even auction in February. Because of the design on the diaper I had to make it a large set.

This set was inspired by my 3 year old son's love of pirates and his daddy's(my dear husband) love of Halloween all things fun. More and more everyday my son is more like is father and I am loving it.

Ok back to the set. The cover is a cotton woven outer with a PUL lining and the diaper is hemp, the outside layer is a cotton interlock that I stitched on and the the soaker pad is lined in organic cotton velour.

Now wouldn't this set be great to show off this sprint and summer?

Yikes it been a while

Ok well I need to pay attention more to my blog. Today I am just listing a few things I have been working on that I will be stocking at www.hyenacart.com/monkeytoediapers in February. I want to have some fun stuff like embellished covers and some great looking fitted here is a few pictures to wet your whistle. I will be making more soon but I need to finish the few custom orders that came in last week. I will be adding more blog entries and pictures of what is to come. I am having so much fun making these. I do enjoy when things get a little slow so I can make diaper I want to make.

I do also plan on having a few semi custom Very Baby Hybrid AIO's available. I snagged a few PUL diaper cuts that will make some very
cute diapers and I will post those there. So keep checking back and I will have more previews soon.

Bumkins

I am happy to announce that we are carrying Bumkins cloth diapers. I have stocked AIO's and Diaper Covers I will be adding the Over Night Trainers soon. I have them. I just need to work on the web site write up. I love the prints that they offer for these diapers and that is why Monkey Toe Diapers applied to be a retailer. I love fun looking diapers. One of my favorite things about cloth diapers is being able to offer fun looking diapers for your little one to show off on their bum.

First Very Baby Hybrid

Ok, I have finally started to take the plunge back into the Very Baby World. I was offered a Life Time Contract so I took it. I went and put together a Large Very Baby Hybrid AIO. This diaper was fun to sew. I will be having my heavy wetter take it for a test drive once I get it washed. It will actually probably need several washes before it will not wick. I have learned 4 to 5 washes before you can really judge a new ALL In One.

The diaper here is made of bamboo french terry and I am thinking at least at first I will only be making cotton birds eye and bamboo french terry versions of this diaper. This way they stay nice and trim.

I still need to work on other sizes. I do intend on offering these, maybe by this sumer, as custom orders. I still have some PUL in solid and prints left, now the selection will be limited for a while. I do not intend on adding any new PUL colors until I have used up some of my old stuff.

Well here is a preview of what is to come.

I am actually finding a love of prefolds

Ok I never thought I would ever use prefolds. I was wrong. I love love diaper cover wraps. I have been taking a few prefold diapers and folding them into 3Rd's and laying them in the diaper cover wraps and wrapping them on.

They fit Allen great the prefolds with a doubler work well on my heavy wetter and I have a fun inexpensive way to cloth diaper.

You can find embellished and hand dyed prefolds to make things interesting. Also the PUL wraps can be found in lots of colors and prints. My son is currently started to out grow his size larges and I am very torn with having to replace his fitted stash with XL's considering he is over 2 and may, or may not potty learn soon.

I think I have found my alternative and it will not cost as much. Considering Prefolds are about 1.75 to 7 depending on what you get. I will probably never use a Snappi or diaper pins but I love the wrap idea with the prefolds. So I will have to show you my progress. Most likely I will make him Very Baby Snug Wraps and or Diaper Kit Wraps. I have tons of pul so it just makes sense.

I felt a little creative today. I usually only make the jean fitted cloth diaper with the recycled diaper pattern but today I made a couple using my Sugar Plum Baby Pattern. I embellished the back of the diapers with a pocket from the jeans that I used. These diapers are lined in velour for a nice soft feel and I love the look of them. I hope they will sell. I am going to list these at www.momsboardwalk.com on January 12th at 8pm. Here is some pictures of them. More details on the actual diaper will be listed soon at Mom's Board Walk.

I had a lot of fun with these diapers, and if there seems to be interest in them, I may get more recycled jeans and make a few more. I they are a classic fun style fitted cloth diaper. What do you think?
