Diaper Service/Rentals Faq
What is the cost of the diaper service rental? TOP
Initial set up fee of $30.00
Your first 4 weeks of rental $88
Total due when signing up $118.00
On week 4 you will need to pay for week 5 and so on. The weekly rental rate is $22/week for 84 Prefolds. If you choose to pay for 12 weeks at a time we will give you week 13 for free. We accept personal checks, cash, PayPal and the 4 major credit cards. (If you choose to pay by credit card or PayPal these methods are billed for every 4 weeks.)
***Please note that an 8% sales tax also has to be collected on weekly rentals.
When does my service start? TOP
When you are expecting we will deliver up to 2 weeks before your due date and week 1 of your service starts when you call us and let us know your little one is here and need the service to begin.
If you are not expecting we will need 1 to 2 weeks to get your diapers ready to start service. How Many Diapers? TOP

What do I get at first and how does it work? TOP
42 Cotton Prefolds
• Pail liner or Liners
• Snappi diaper fastener
• Also a package of disposible liners
We will return the following delivery day to deliver you a fresh batch of cloth
diapers and pick up your dirty diapers. It is that simple!
On your designated delivery days, please count your remaining clean
diapers and put the rest out on your doorstep for pickup. The first two deliveries you will receive a full supply of diapers. When we deliver on the third delivery, you will get the quantity of diapers you returned on Delivery 2.
Here is an example of how is works:
Delivery One - We deliver 42 clean prefold diapers
Delivery Two - We deliver 42 clean prefold diapers and pick up 36 dirty diapers from Delivery 1
Delivery Three - We deliver 36 clean prefold diapers and pick up 40 dirty diapers from Delivery 2
Delivery Four - We deliver 40 clean prefold diapers...you get the idea Do I need to rinse the diapers? TOP
NO
If you baby is not eating solids yet, the poo is generally not solid at all, so you can just toss these diapers into the pail. As your child's poo starts to become more solid, just shake the solids into the toilet and toss the dirty diaper into your pail. Shaking the poo in the toilet will help reduce smell and staining How do I know the diapers are getting clean? TOP
We use extremely hot water (160 degrees) and we will wash in Charlies Soap. We do use a very small amount of bleach when needed very sparingly.
What size diapers do I need? TOP
Currently we offer
Infant: 7 - 15 lbs.
Regular (in 2 absorbency levels): 15 - 30 lbs.
Toddler: 25+ lbs.
The size you need will also depend on how you are using the prefolds. If you are fastening them onto your baby with pins or a snappi, you might need a different size than if you were to just fold and lay them in your cover. If you are unsure on the size you need, just ask us and we will help you figure it out.
Vacations TOP
If you are going on vacation, just let us know 2 weeks before you are going, so we can put your service on hold. Is it hard to use prefolds? TOP
No, it is actually very easy. With a snug fitting cover, you can simply lay the prefold inside the cover and fasten it on baby, just as you would a disposable diaper. If you prefer to use a snappi here is some how to use tutorials:

We will also be glad to offer an appointment in our home on how to use your diapers and covers and answer any questions you have.
What am I Locked into? TOP
We only require a 4 week commitment paid in advance. After that you can terminate service at anytime. We just need a 1 to 2 week notice.
What will you need that is not part of the rental service? TOP
You will need to purchase yourself diaper covers if you visit you can see what is available.
We can offer you diaper covers as part of your rental service. You would need to care for these. Wash yourself.
Cost is a $15 set up fee and you can rent them for $10 a month and simply trade up when you need the next size. At this time we would only offer Thirsties diaper covers for rentals we are looking into other diaper wraps that would be great to use with Prefolds.
This package is 7 Covers you would wash them not us.
Thirsties Diaper covers if you purchase them are $11.25/cover and we would recommend purchasing at least 5 to 7 of them for each size.
We also recommend you purchase a 54 quart tall kitchen garbage can with a lid to put your pail liners for the dirty diapers. This is not necessary because the pail liners we will be using can be hung from a door kob.
Snow and We are on vacation? TOP
We all know that we can have bad snow days in Rochester NY and when this happens deliveries maybe delayed by 1 day. We will notify ASAP in this situtation.
Our family does not go out of town very often but at the times we plan to do this you will receive a weeks worth of diapers to get you though while we are out of town and you will receive at minumum a 2 week notice for this.
